A Step in Time is currently recruiting for our fall 2009 season. We are looking for recent college graduates in the civil engineering field. This position requires travel and physical work. These individuals will perform various inspections of residential homes including roof work and crawl space inspections. Fear of heights is a deal breaker. This position starts September 2009 and is either a 4 month position or permanent. Listed below are requirements and information.
Required:
1) B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction related degree.
2) Good driving record or a new truck with work shell - ladder racks.
3) Clean criminal background.
4) Drug free - testing required.
5) Travel required - could be full time travel.
6) Knowledge of IRC 2006 residential building codes.
7) The initial portion of the position will include a significant amount of residential fireplace inspections and cleanings. Detailed levels of reporting is essential to document the fire worthyness of fire damaged chimneys. Previous experience with infarred cameras and inspection software systems is a plus.
